Hailing from central Ohio, considered by some as a microcosm for national sentiment, electropop singer/songwriter/producer, Nick Long, has started turning heads producing music under the moniker, Nearly a Nation.

Described as having “musical imagination” and being “incredibly poignant,” Nearly a Nation stands out as an act said to be worthy of being lifted to the global stage. Shaking off the stereotypes often associated with the genres surrounding electronic dance music, Nearly a Nation is forging a new path, one that hopes to raise both personal and national consciousness. It’s as if Bob Dylan just dropped his electric guitar and started pumping out some nasty beats on the computer.

His debut self-released album, Outburst, in 2015, received special attention for the single ‘Radiate,’ named by The Akademia as Best Song–Dance/Electronica for January 2016. ‘Radiate’ was also included on Indie Anthems Vol. 10 and released at SXSW as part of a 20-song compilation of top unsigned, independent artists. These recognitions came despite the fact that Nearly a Nation has yet to perform live as a solo act.

2016 proves to be a breakout year for NaN, as he prepares for the release of his second album, Conquest, and begins work to make his live show a reality.

Make no mistake. Nick Long intends to break the mold to not only remind those of strong hearts and minds, but to lift up all who are willing to listen, and show them there is still a place in this world, an important place, for those who seek truth, goodness, freedom and self-awareness. And it is his great hope that you will join him on this journey.
